Singer GoodGirl LA Reveals Her Father Once Disowned Her for Choosing Music
Singer GoodGirl LA has revealed that her father once disowned her.
She said she later reconciled with her family after finding success in her music career.
Nigerian singer Euphemia Ekumah, popularly known as GoodGirl LA, has revealed that her father once disowned her for refusing to further her education.

Speaking in an interview with Hip TV, the Bless Me crooner opened up about the only regret she has in life, not leaving home earlier to pursue her music career.
“I have never regretted not completing school. I wish I never went to school. I wish I left home earlier. That’s my only regret. I wish I never wrote JAMB. I wish I ran away when my dad was forcing me to write JAMB. I wish I started chasing my dreams earlier,” she said.
The singer recalled that when she finally told her parents she didn’t want to go to school, her father reacted harshly and sent her out of the house.
“When I told my parents that I wasn’t interested in going to school anymore, my dad asked me to leave his house. It was crazy. At one point, my dad even disowned me. Then, I left home,” she said.
GoodGirl LA added that her relationship with her family later improved after she started gaining recognition in the Nigerian music industry.
