Ruger Raises Alarm Over Rising Kidnapping Cases in Nigeria
Ruger has voiced concern over Nigeria’s rising cases of kidnapping, warning it could worsen during the festive period.
The singer urged authorities to act fast as citizens plan holiday travels.
Nigerian singer Michael Adebayo Olayinka, popularly known as Ruger, has expressed fear over the growing wave of kidnappings across the country.

In a post shared on his X account, the “Asiwaju” crooner lamented that kidnapping has now become a full-time business in some parts of Nigeria. He warned that the situation could worsen during the festive season as many Nigerians travel to their hometowns.
He wrote: “I’m scared for people this December. Kidnapping has become a full-time business in some parts of Nigeria. And it’s only gonna get worse this festive season. People will travel back to their villages from abroad and from many other places in Nigeria. These bastards will strike hard.”
Ruger also expressed concern that foreigners and Nigerians returning from abroad could become primary targets for kidnappers, as criminals often assume they have access to large sums of money.
