Muyiwa Awoniyi, the manager of Nigerian music stars Tems, Omah Lay, and Lekan, has issued a public warning to Nigerians, making it clear that he will not tolerate any form of disrespect aimed at the artists under his care.

In a recent post shared via his official X (Twitter) account, Awoniyi stated that while personal attacks on him are of no concern, any form of insult or derogatory remark targeted at Tems, Omah Lay or Lekan will be met with strong opposition.
“Said it before and I’ll say it again. Insulting me? I’m fine with it. But if you insult Temi, Stanley or Lekan? We will have a problem. ‘Till next time, bye for now,” he wrote.
His warning comes on the heels of a recent backlash against Tems, who was the subject of inappropriate remarks about her body following a viral performance clip from the Roots Picnic concert in Philadelphia. The Grammy-winning singer had clapped back at critics in a series of tweets, demanding respect and privacy.
Awoniyi’s message reinforces his protective stance as a manager and adds to the growing conversation around the online treatment of celebrities, particularly female artists.
