Each was granted ₦500,000 bail over the #FreeNnamdiKanuNow protest.
A Magistrate’s Court in Kuje, Abuja, has granted bail to human rights activist Omoyele Sowore; Aloy Ejimakor, a lawyer representing the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu; his brother, Prince Emmanuel Kanu; and ten other defendants.

The court, sitting on Friday, set the bail conditions at ₦500,000 for each defendant, with two sureties in the same amount.
The thirteen individuals had earlier been arrested and charged with inciting public unrest and disturbing the peace following their participation in the #FreeNnamdiKanuNow protest held on October 20 in Abuja.
According to court records, Ejimakor, Emmanuel Kanu, and ten others were apprehended during the demonstration and later remanded at the Kuje Correctional Centre pending trial. Sowore, on the other hand, was arrested three days later on October 23 at the premises of the Federal High Court in Abuja, where he had gone to express solidarity during Nnamdi Kanu’s terrorism trial.
