Security has been reinforced in Kadarko community in Benue State after the Nigerian Army arrested a man identified as Aondohemba Tsetim for allegedly attacking the Village Head and making away with his motorcycle. The incident created tension and fear among residents until the suspect was traced and captured.

The attack reportedly happened last week. After the Village Head was assaulted, the suspect fled from the area to avoid being caught. His sudden disappearance made security agencies begin a manhunt, as residents demanded that the attacker be found and punished.
Tsetim, who comes from Anum community in the same Kadarko area, was finally arrested on Monday. His arrest followed a coordinated search by military personnel working with local intelligence. Security sources confirmed that the suspect is currently being held in military custody. They added that he will soon be handed over to law enforcement authorities to help with further investigation and to face the legal process in court.
People in Kadarko expressed relief after hearing of the arrest. Many residents said they had been living in fear since the attack on their traditional leader, because such crimes are uncommon in the community. They thanked the Nigerian Army for responding quickly and ensuring that the suspect did not escape justice.
Community members also believe that the arrest will help restore confidence in security as farmers prepare for more farming activities. They called on government and security agencies to increase patrols and keep watch over the area so that criminals will not attempt similar acts in the future.
