APC Hails Tinubu’s Two-Year Performance as Best Since 1999

President Tinubu’s two-year performance has outpaced that of his predecessors, according to the APC, which praised his bold economic reforms and long-term focus.

Despite mounting criticism from opposition figures, the party insists Tinubu remains undeterred and challenges his critics to offer viable alternatives rather than empty rhetoric.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s leadership, declaring that his accomplishments in just two years have outshone those of Nigeria’s past presidents in the Fourth Republic. Felix Morka, the APC’s National Publicity Secretary, made the assertion during a live interview on The Morning Show aired by Arise Television on Wednesday, June 4.

According to Morka, President Tinubu has undertaken significant reforms aimed at strengthening Nigeria’s economy, focusing on difficult but necessary decisions that previous administrations avoided. He argued that the President’s commitment to long-term development rather than short-term approval sets him apart from his predecessors, including former Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo, Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, Goodluck Jonathan, and Muhammadu Buhari.

“This President has done more than all the presidents before him. His direction of ordering our priorities, tackling some of the most acerbic challenges faced by the economy of our country, he has decided that he’s not about looking for cheap popularity, but doing those things that may momentarily seem unpopular but are decidedly crucial to a long-term good health of our country’s economy,” Morka said.

He emphasized that Tinubu’s policies are not designed to win public favor in the short term but are instead focused on reviving the nation’s economy and ensuring future prosperity. According to him, such a bold approach underscores Tinubu’s vision and courage in confronting Nigeria’s toughest problems head-on.

Addressing the ongoing criticisms from opposition parties and figures, Morka dismissed them as lacking in depth and relevance. He particularly mentioned notable political figures such as former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, former Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi, and former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai. Morka contended that their attacks on the current administration were not only misplaced but also devoid of constructive alternatives.

“All the noise and condemnations coming from the opposition do not hold weight. Whether it is Atiku, Amaechi, or El-Rufai, they have not presented any substantive arguments or credible alternatives to what the President is currently doing. The administration is focused on rebuilding the economy, and distractions will not deter that mission,” he said.

Morka further challenged these opposition leaders to offer meaningful policy suggestions if they truly have the country’s best interests at heart. He pointed out that despite their loud criticisms, none of them has proposed a single comprehensive solution to Nigeria’s current problems.

“It is quite telling that not one of these critics has articulated a serious, informed policy alternative. They continue to complain, but they have nothing to offer in terms of real direction or development,” he added.

Morka reaffirmed that President Tinubu remains undistracted by political noise and is determined to pursue policies that may be uncomfortable in the present but are essential for the long-term growth of Nigeria. He called on citizens to remain patient and optimistic, assuring them that the sacrifices being made today will yield substantial rewards in the near future.

In conclusion, the APC spokesperson insisted that Tinubu’s administration is committed to reshaping the Nigerian economy and laying the groundwork for a more prosperous and stable nation. He encouraged Nigerians to support the President’s efforts, reiterating that transformative leadership often requires difficult choices and steadfast resolve.
