Erigga Speaks Against Polygamy, Says it Hurts Women and Children the Most
Erigga has spoken against polygamy, saying it causes emotional pain for women and children.
He urged men to embrace monogamy, describing it as a more peaceful and stable lifestyle.
Nigerian rapper Erhiga Agarivbie, popularly known as Erigga, has voiced his disapproval of polygamy, saying it often brings more pain than peace to families.

In an interview with Yanga FM Lagos, the rapper explained that his views stem from personal experience, having grown up in a polygamous home. He said that from what he witnessed, such family settings usually leave women and children emotionally affected.
“I’m trying not to be like my father. I don’t like polygamy. One person always gets hurt, and it’s usually the woman. There’s never a polygamous situation where the man suffers, it’s always the women and the kids,” Erigga said.
The rapper urged men to avoid multiple marriages, describing monogamy as a more peaceful and balanced way of life. He added that a man who focuses on one partner tends to build a stronger and happier home.
