Don Jazzy says he can afford a private jet but chooses not to buy one.
The Mavin boss explained that he prefers investing in skills and people rather than spending on luxury.
Mavin Records boss and music producer, Don Jazzy, has revealed that although he has enough money to buy a private jet, he chooses not to because he has more meaningful priorities.
Speaking in a recent interview with Habby FX, Don Jazzy explained that he prefers to invest his resources in productive ventures and people rather than splurging on luxury items. According to him, he has been financially capable for years to afford any car or jet but finds greater value in personal growth and empowerment.
“I’ve been blessed enough for a long time to afford any type of car I want or even a private jet. But I have more important things to take care of,” he said. “The forex I’m learning now is an investment in myself. Tomorrow, it’s going to turn into a skill I can use. Don’t just be useless go and acquire some skill.”
The veteran producer urged young Nigerians to embrace skill acquisition over the obsession with white-collar jobs, especially in the evolving digital and AI era. “You don’t have to be a doctor or lawyer. Even carpentry and furniture making matter. We still import things we can make here if we develop the right skills,” he added.
