In a preview of his latest interview with British journalist Piers Morgan, the Al Nassr and Portugal captain was asked about the common belief that Messi is the superior footballer. Responding confidently, Ronaldo said, “Messi better than me? I don’t agree with that opinion. I don’t want to be humble.”

The football icon also reacted to comments made by his former Manchester United teammate Wayne Rooney, who had previously said he preferred Messi. Ronaldo noted that such opinions do not bother him, adding that everyone is entitled to their views.

The rivalry between Ronaldo and Messi has dominated world football for nearly two decades. Both players have broken records, won league titles across Europe, and lifted major international trophies for their countries.

While Messi has claimed eight Ballon d’Or awards, Ronaldo has won five, keeping their competition alive in football history. Despite constant comparisons, fans around the world continue to celebrate both men for their remarkable talent and enduring influence on the game.
