Regina Daniels Reveals Her Mother Tried to Stop Her Marriage to Ned Nwoko for Seven Years
Regina Daniels has revealed that her mother opposed her marriage to Senator Ned Nwoko for seven years.
She admitted she was deeply in love despite family resistance and pleaded against public insults toward her mother.
Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has opened up about her controversial marriage to Senator Ned Nwoko, revealing that her mother, Rita Daniels, strongly opposed the union and tried to prevent it for seven years.

In an emotional post shared on Instagram, Regina refuted widespread claims that she was forced or coerced into marrying the billionaire lawmaker, admitting instead that she was stubbornly in love despite her family’s resistance.
“For seven years my mum held me down. She tried, but I’m the one that has a coconut head. I’m ashamed to say I fell in love, but I actually did, and it’s crazy. Everyone said no,” the actress wrote.
She pleaded with Nigerians to stop insulting her mother, emphasizing that Rita Daniels was never motivated by money or greed. “You all should stop saying that I married out of greed. We were not broke. What amount of money can a man give a mother to sell her child who is practically providing for the house?” she asked.
Regina also revealed that her emotional attachment to Nwoko once pushed her to a breaking point, saying, “My mother, my brother, and everybody warned me. I drove out at night one day, trying to kill myself if I didn’t marry Ned.”
