In a statement released on Wednesday by his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, the governor assured party members that the current disagreements were not unusual in a large political family and would soon be resolved through collective dialogue and understanding among leaders.

Adeleke maintained that the situation should not cause division within the party, urging all members to focus on rebuilding and strengthening the PDP ahead of upcoming elections. He expressed optimism that the party would overcome its internal challenges and emerge more united.

“I urge all members of our great party to stay calm and remain steadfast. We are on the path to victory next year, and we must continue to work together to restore the PDP’s strength for renewed success,” he said.

The governor described the crisis as a “family matter,” noting that the leadership at the national level is already engaging in discussions and consultations to bring lasting peace. He stressed that every stakeholder is working with the same goal of ensuring unity and progress for the party.

“All the key figures at the national level are in talks and are committed to ensuring that the PDP remains strong and united,” Adeleke stated.

He further directed party leaders in Osun State to begin early mobilization across wards and local government areas in preparation for the 2026 governorship election, adding that the PDP remains the party to beat in the state.

“I want all our leaders at the grassroots to intensify mobilization and organization ahead of the 2026 election. We will come out stronger and better as one united PDP,” the governor added.
