Lord Lamba Mocks Celebrities Who Flee Back to Nigeria After Brief Stint in the U.S
Popular skit maker Lord Lamba has stirred social media debate after joking that many Nigerian celebrities who relocate abroad often return quickly due to overwhelming bills.
In a viral video, he warned that life in the U.S. isn’t as flashy as it looks, saying, “You pay bills, you go broke.”
Lord Lamba, a popular Nigerian skit maker, sparked controversy online after sharing his thoughts on Nigerian celebrities leaving Nigeria for the US.
In the viral clip, Lord Lamba humorously pointed out that many Nigerian stars who move abroad often make a quick return due to the high cost of living.
“You see most of your celebrities, they’ll come to the United States. Bro, two weeks, they’re back home. They crazy,” he said.
He emphasized that the financial strain overseas is far more intense than what Nigerians are used to back home.
“If you’re thinking of paying bills, it’s not the Nigerian kind. You’ll go broke. You pay bills, you go broke. You want to come to the United States?”
“People earn in dollars, but the bills come in dollars too. You’ll pay in dollars, and you’ll go broke, bro,” he added.
His bold take has since sparked conversation across social media, with many agreeing that life abroad isn’t as glamorous as it seems.
