Anambra Governorship Election: Police Vehicle Hits NSCDC Tricycle in Awka

A police pilot vehicle was involved in an accident with a tricycle conveying officers of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) at Aroma Junction, Awka, during the Anambra State governorship election.

According to reports gathered by Newskobo.com, the collision occurred while both vehicles were on election duty. Fortunately, there were no reports of serious injuries from the incident.

Photos from the scene showed the tricycle overturned after the crash, with security personnel and bystanders helping to lift it back to an upright position.

Authorities are yet to release an official statement on the cause of the accident, but efforts are ongoing to get a response from the Anambra State Police Command.

The incident occurred amid the ongoing governorship election, where 16 candidates are competing against the incumbent, Professor Chukwuma Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
