Falz Speaks on President Tinubu’s Mid-Term Performance: “We’ve Moved Backwards“
Falz has sparked fresh debate after criticizing President Tinubu’s two-year tenure, saying it’s brought more setbacks than progress.
Speaking on Arise TV, the rapper questioned Tinubu’s leadership vision, urging Nigerians to brace for the remaining years.
Nigerian rapper and social activist Falz has dropped his opinion regarding President Bola Tinubu’s performance so far, stating that his two years in office have brought more hardship than progress for the Nigerian people.
During a recent interview on Arise TV, Falz expressed deep disappointment, saying that rather than improving the lives of citizens, the administration has only made things worse.
“It goes without saying, that more than anything, we’ve moved backwards,” he said. “There is not much progress that has been recorded.”
He went on to reference Tinubu’s popular campaign slogan, Emilokan, which means “It’s my turn” questioning what plans the President had in mind when he took office.
“I think I remember the campaign slogan being ‘Emilokan.’ And now it just seems like, what were you planning on doing? We are still waiting.”
Falz, known for using his platform to speak on social and political issues, concluded by saying, “It’s remaining two more years. Maybe there is still a plan. But as it stands now, first half, we never see anything.”
His comments have sparked conversation among Nigerians who share concerns about the direction of the country’s leadership.
