Morocco’s U-17 team crushed New Caledonia 16–0 to set a new World Cup record.
The stunning victory boosted their qualification hopes and impressed football fans across the world.
Morocco’s U-17 team has made history at the ongoing FIFA U-17 World Cup after thrashing New Caledonia 16–0, breaking the tournament’s previous record for the largest winning margin. The incredible result revived Morocco’s qualification hopes and erased Spain’s 13–0 record from the books.

The North Africans dominated from start to finish, displaying confidence, precision, and relentless attacking play. Forward Abdelali Eddaoudi inspired the team with two first-half goals and a commanding performance that earned him the Player of the Match award.

New Caledonia’s nightmare deepened when two of their players, Typhan Dreuko and Jean Canehmez, were sent off before halftime for reckless challenges. The red cards left the team with just nine men, unable to cope with Morocco’s pace and sharp finishing.
With total control of the match, Morocco showed no mercy. Oualid Ibn Salah, Ziyad Baha, Nahel Haddani, Ismail El Aoud, and Abdellah Ouazane each scored twice, adding to the record-breaking tally that stunned fans and analysts alike.
The emphatic win lifted Morocco to third place in Group B, trailing Japan and Portugal. They now await results from other groups to determine if they will qualify as one of the best third-placed teams for the knockout round.
