Sowore Demands Investigation of Ned Nwoko over Alleged Child Ab8se and Misconduct
Omoyele Sowore has urged authorities to investigate Senator Ned Nwoko over Regina Daniels’ allegations.
He called the claims criminal, demanding disciplinary action against the senator in the UK and Nigeria.
Human rights activist and politician, Omoyele Sowore, has called for Senator Ned Nwoko to be held accountable for alleged crimes against a minor and abuse of power following the recent revelations by the senator’s estranged wife, Regina Daniels.

In a statement shared via his Instagram page on Sunday, November 9, Sowore urged relevant authorities to conduct a thorough investigation into the claims, which he described as “deeply disturbing and criminal in nature.” Regina, in a post made earlier the same day, alleged that she was only 17 years old when she was married off to the lawmaker.
Sowore noted that under UK law, where Ned Nwoko remains a registered legal practitioner, Regina was legally a minor at the time. He stated that any sexual relationship that took place following such a marriage would, under British law, amount to statutory r@pe. The activist also pointed out that Nwoko’s position as a registered lawyer in the United Kingdom makes the allegations more serious, as they border on moral and professional misconduct.
According to Sowore, Regina further accused the senator of introducing her to hard drugs while she was still underage and of repeatedly forcing himself upon her. He described these acts as grave violations of human rights and insisted they must be investigated and prosecuted.
He criticized Ned Nwoko’s continued identification as a lawyer in the United Kingdom despite the serious allegations against him. He urged the Law Society of England and Wales and the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) to initiate disciplinary action before the Independent Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal (SDT) to assess whether Nwoko remains fit to practise law in the UK.
Sowore further accused the senator of using his political influence, wealth, and alleged ties with law enforcement to silence victims and manipulate the justice system. He vowed that activists and rights defenders would not allow such abuse of power to go unpunished, stressing that “justice must prevail, regardless of political status or influence.”
