NAF Airstrikes Hit ISWAP and Bandit Hideouts Across Northern States
The Nigerian Air Force has launched new airstrikes on terrorist and bandit hideouts across Borno, Kwara, Katsina, and Kaduna.
Officials said the operations destroyed camps and neutralized several militants.
The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has intensified its nationwide operations against terrorists and bandits with a series of coordinated airstrikes that targeted Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) strongholds and criminal enclaves across several states.

According to a statement by Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information at NAF Headquarters, the latest missions were conducted on November 9, 2025, and successfully neutralized several terrorists while destroying their camps and logistics bases in Borno, Kwara, Katsina, and Kaduna States.
In Borno State, NAF aircraft carried out precision air raids on ISWAP positions around Mallam Fatori and Shuwaram, areas known for militant activities near the Lake Chad Basin. The statement explained that the strikes followed detailed Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions that identified terrorists mobilizing with motorcycles and boats. The bombardment destroyed hideouts, ammunition depots, and logistics hubs, significantly reducing the group’s ability to operate in the region.
“Post-strike assessments confirmed multiple neutralizations and a major degradation of ISWAP’s operational structures,” the statement said.
The Air Force also extended its operations to Kwara State, where air interdictions were carried out in Garin Dandi and Chigogo. These locations were identified as gathering points for armed bandits involved in attacks across nearby communities. The precision strikes reportedly destroyed their makeshift camps and eliminated several armed elements.
In Katsina State, under Operation FANSAN YAMMA, NAF aircraft launched successful attacks on Zango Hill in Kankara Local Government Area, a hideout used by a notorious terrorist leader and his men. Guided by actionable intelligence, the operation resulted in the destruction of critical logistics facilities and the neutralization of several insurgents.
Ejodame further revealed that reconnaissance missions were conducted across parts of Zamfara, Kebbi, and Kaduna States, including areas such as Kakihum, Dankolo, Kotonkoro, and Kuyello. These routes, he said, are often used by armed groups along the Birnin Gwari–Funtua corridor for movement and supply.
