Olamide has addressed the reactions trailing his remark placing Wizkid after Fela in Afrobeats history.
He urged fans to avoid needless arguments and respect every artist’s success.
Nigerian rapper Olamide has responded to the criticism that followed his recent remark describing Wizkid as the greatest Afrobeats artist after Fela Kuti.

In a post shared on X, Olamide said the debate around his comment had become unnecessary, stressing that no one’s success can be reduced because of differing opinions. He further admonished fans, explaining that they are at will to support whoever they wish but it should be done without attacking others.
According to him, “You can’t diminish anyone’s greatness, whether they’re A-list, B-list, or anything else. Feel free to believe what you want or support whoever you choose, there’s plenty of room in the sky for everyone.”
He also noted that artists like Burna Boy, Davido, and Wizkid are focused on their growth and would not be bothered by public arguments over rankings. Olamide added that their ability to rise above such conversations is part of what has helped them succeed.
