Mr. Jollof Apologies After Mid-Flight Clash with VeryDarkMan, Says He Acted in Self-Defence
Mr Jollof has apologized publicly after a confrontation with VeryDarkMan on a United Nigeria Airlines flight.
He said the clash escalated because he felt threatened and promised it would not happen again.
Nigerian entertainer Mr. Jollof has issued a public apology following the confrontation that occurred aboard a United Nigeria Airlines flight on 17 November 2025.

In a video statement, he apologized to the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), airline officials and passengers who were delayed as a result of the incident.
In his words,
“I want to use this medium to sincerely apologize to NCAA, the passengers that boarded on A45 AM United Nigeria Airline on the 17 November, 2025. I was only defending myself.” He added, “I am very sorry if I delayed your appointment, pardon me. This is not my kind of person, it will never happen again.”
He also sent a message to his wife, saying, “And to my lovely wife, I know you are proud of me baby. Three thousand miligram was sent and delivered. No be by muscle.”
Mr. Jollof explained that he was headed to Lagos to attend the MSME National Conference, where he was scheduled to teach participants how to monetize their voices. He boarded the 8:45am flight, although boarding did not begin until around 9am.
According to him, he met comedian Funnybone during boarding, who informed him that social media critic VeryDarkMan (VDM) was also on the flight. Mr. Jollof said he chose to ignore VDM because of an earlier accusation VDM allegedly made against his wife, which he said had never been proven in court.
He stated that he sat at seat 7B while VDM sat at 4F. According to him, VDM repeatedly tried to get his attention but he kept his calm as some passengers cheered VDM.
After another attempt by VDM to provoke him, Mr. Jollof said he responded by saying, “Behave yourself.” He claimed that VDM then left his seat at 4F and moved towards him at 7B, and at that point, he decided to defend himself.
Mr. Jollof stressed that he had no intention of causing trouble and that the situation escalated only because he felt threatened. He assured the public that such an incident would not happen again.
