A young car spotter who captured the now-viral footage of Pastor Paul Adefarasin’s convoy has received a financial boost of N350,000 from well-meaning Nigerians. The video, which sparked intense online discussions, brought unexpected attention to the young man’s passion and hardships, ultimately inspiring a wave of public sympathy and generosity.

The fundraising initiative was led by media personality Daddy Freeze, known for his outspoken #FreeNation and “Free the Sheeple” movement. He took to Instagram to share the story and solicit donations for the car enthusiast, revealing that many of his followers were deeply moved by the boy’s living conditions and determination.

Daddy Freeze had hosted the young man during an Instagram Live session, where the harsh realities of his life became evident. Unable to show his face due to a power outage, the car spotter spoke candidly about his struggles. He explained that he had stopped his education after secondary school because of financial hardship. Having studied commercial subjects, he now spends long hours by the roadside, sometimes up to eight hours a day trying to capture footage of luxury vehicles.

In the now-famous incident, the young man had been recording high-end cars around Ikoyi when he filmed Pastor Adefarasin’s black Range Rover. The footage quickly went viral amid speculations that the pastor may have flashed a firearm during the encounter. The buzz surrounding the video not only brought him recognition but also highlighted his difficult circumstances.

During the live chat, Daddy Freeze was visibly affected by the boy’s plight and pledged immediate support. “Don’t worry, we will give you cash today. He said, “It saddens me that you’re living without electricity… This young man truly deserves support and encouragement.”

Following this, the media figure rallied his online community to contribute, resulting in a collective donation of N350,000. He later confirmed the donation via Instagram, thanking all those who participated in changing the young man’s story.

The heartwarming gesture serves as a reminder of the power of social media in connecting people, raising awareness, and driving real-world impact for those in need.
