Governor Uba Sani Visits Survivors of Plateau Attack, Assures Justice and Full Support

Governor Uba Sani visited victims of the Plateau attack receiving care at a Kaduna army hospital.

He promised justice, full medical support, and stronger efforts to protect innocent lives.

Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has paid a visit to the 44 Nigerian Army Reference Hospital in Kaduna, where survivors of the recent deadly attack in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State are receiving treatment. The victims, many of whom are indigenes of Kaduna State, were caught in the tragic violence that claimed several lives and left others severely injured.

During the visit, the governor sympathized with the victims and expressed deep sorrow over the loss of innocent lives. He condemned the attack in strong terms, describing it as a senseless and brutal act that must not go unpunished. He assured the injured that the government stands firmly with them and will continue to support them throughout their recovery.

Governor Sani reaffirmed his personal commitment to ensuring that justice is served. He stated that security agencies have already made some arrests related to the incident and that efforts are ongoing to track down other individuals involved. According to him, the government is determined to see that all those responsible are brought to justice and made to face the full weight of the law.

“I will personally follow up on this case and the operations of our security agencies. We will not rest until every person involved in this heinous act is arrested and prosecuted. Kaduna State will continue to work closely with relevant authorities to ensure the safety of our people,” the governor said.

He further announced that the Kaduna State Government has taken full responsibility for the treatment of the victims. He explained that, beyond providing medical care, the state will also offer psychosocial support and counseling to help the survivors recover from the trauma caused by the incident. This support, he added, is essential to helping them regain their emotional well-being before they are reunited with their families and reintegrated into their communities.

Governor Sani urged citizens to remain calm and support law enforcement agencies with relevant information that could aid in ongoing investigations. He also called for unity and peace across communities in Kaduna and neighboring states, stressing that violence only leads to more suffering and setback.

The visit was seen as a show of solidarity and compassion from the governor, who pledged that his administration will always stand by victims of violence and continue to prioritize the protection of lives and property across the state.
