Nasarawa Governor, Abdullahi Sule Names Projects After Tinubu

Governor Sule names Lafia flyover after Tinubu, praising his agenda for inspiring state infrastructure growth.

He highlights completion without loans, stressing transparency and commitment to Nasarawa’s urban and economic development goals.

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has named the new Lafia Flyover and underpass after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He said the decision was to honor the president’s leadership and the motivation from his Renewed Hope Agenda.

Governor Sule made the announcement on Wednesday during the official commissioning of the project in Lafia, the capital city of Nasarawa State and headquarters of the Lafia Local Government Area. He noted that the decision to name the infrastructure after President Tinubu was in line with the state government’s support for the president’s vision of infrastructural and economic development across the country.

Speaking at the event, Governor Sule emphasized that the completion of the flyover and underpass was made possible through careful financial planning and resource management. He highlighted that the project was executed without taking any loans, a feat he described as a testament to the state’s commitment to fiscal responsibility.

“We undertook this major infrastructure project without borrowing a single naira. That is the result of prudent financial management and transparency in governance,” Sule said.

The governor added that the initiative aligns with the spirit of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which encourages infrastructural development as a means of stimulating economic growth and improving the lives of citizens.

Governor Sule also explained that the newly completed flyover is expected to ease traffic congestion in Lafia and enhance urban mobility, thereby improving the day-to-day lives of residents and travelers. He called on the people of Nasarawa to protect the infrastructure and continue to support the government’s efforts in advancing development across the state.

The inauguration was attended by dignitaries, traditional rulers, and residents of Lafia, many of whom expressed satisfaction with the government’s performance. They praised the decision to name the flyover after President Tinubu, describing it as a fitting tribute to a national leader whose administration emphasizes infrastructure as a tool for progress.

Governor Sule reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to projects that have a direct impact on the welfare of the people. He assured citizens that more developmental projects were underway, all aimed at transforming Nasarawa into one of Nigeria’s most economically vibrant and structurally advanced states.
