A young lady identified as Faith has tragically lost her life after being stabbed to death by suspected armed robbers in the Ajah area of Lagos State.
Faith, originally from Itakpa Ito in Obi Local Government Area of Benue State, was found lifeless along Mobile Road, Ajah, in the early hours of Friday, June 27, 2025.
According to reports, she had gone to visit her boyfriend on Wednesday night and was returning home when the unfortunate incident occurred. Eyewitness accounts suggest that she was attacked by robbers who attempted to steal her bag and phone. When she resisted, one of the assailants stabbed her in the neck with a knife, leading to her death from excessive bleeding.
A Facebook user, Ogor Odeh Joseph, who is from Igede, addressed circulating rumors claiming that Faith was killed by her boyfriend for ritual purposes. He strongly debunked these claims, clarifying the real circumstances surrounding her death.
“This is what happened with Faith, an Igede girl who died this morning in Lagos,” he wrote. “The story circulating in the video is false. She was not killed by her boyfriend, and her body was not mutilated. She had gone to see her boyfriend the night before, and while returning early in the morning, she encountered armed robbers.”
Joseph further explained that eyewitnesses and community members currently at the mortuary confirmed the only injury on her body was a stab wound to the neck. He said Faith bled profusely without receiving help, which led to her untimely death.
Her body has since been deposited in a mortuary, and arrangements are being made to transport her remains back to Igede for burial.
