THE chief of the Lagos4Lagos Motion, Mr Olajide Adediran, popularly referred to as Jandor, has formally declared his curiosity to contest the Lagos State governorship election on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Social gathering in 2023.

Adediran, who defected from the All Progressives Congress to hitch the PDP, made the declaration on Thursday throughout an occasion attended by occasion members and supporters in Ikeja GRA.

He stated, “Within the means of my journey and being in that hall of energy as a marketing consultant to the workplace of the governor of Lagos State, my eyes have been opened to plenty of issues and I requested myself, ‘Is that this how issues will proceed?’ The yr 2011 was the primary time that I sat down and got here to the realisation that an inheritor has been made a servant as a result of the detractors have sat on his father’s inheritance, but he was seeing what was occurring round him.

“I stated the one means we will resolve this unfair dominance in Lagos is by seizing that govt energy. And it was clear to us that for us to see that energy within the APC, we’d first must commit the primary unpardonable sin. There’s a sin one should not commit as a celebration member of the APC and that sin applies whether or not you’re a politician or public workplace holder or appointee.

“Inside that circle, you could not have a construction, and I say it once more, no politician in Lagos inside that occasion, both serving or something, that may put forth his personal private construction. Just one man will need to have a construction and the second he places that up, you’re going nowhere.

“We dedicated that unpardonable sin by ensuring we put up a construction which they know might wrest the facility away from them. They stated we weren’t many, however we proved them incorrect. Then we got here to the conclusion that we wanted to interrupt that place, scale back their very own quantity and be part of it to a different occasion that was doing pretty effectively within the state, and that’s how we took the PDP as our residence.”

Adediran added that if he gained the ticket, he would work along with different aspirants and never make it a one-man affair.

He added, “I’m conscious that there are others additionally aspiring for the governorship of Lagos State, and a few of them have been saying if we win the ticket, we are going to make it an entire occasion affair, however the fact is, I cannot do that.

“We might want to work along with all these different folks even once I win; they need to additionally inform us what they are going to accomplish that we will win. For instance, solely eight Lagos4Lagos aspirants out of 40 are contesting for the Home of Meeting and 4 out of 24 are contesting for the Home of Representatives.

“If I ultimately win, they are often the deputy or commissioners and fill different positions within the ministries and parastatals. There are 24 ministries in Lagos State and there are over 100 parastatals, is it doable for us alone to occupy them? No. Anybody of them who is usually a Director-Common or Government Director, we are going to settle for them.”
