Northern CSOs pledge help for southern presidency

A coalition of 45 Civil Society Organisations drawn from the 19 northern states and Abuja, kicked in opposition to northern presidential candidates and pledged help for southern presidency in 2023.

The CSOs, underneath the aegis of the Arewa Involved Civil Society Group of Nigeria, threatened to work in opposition to northern presidential candidates, stating that for fairness, justice, and transparency sake, a southerner should succeed the President, Main Basic Muhammadu Buhari(retd.) after his tenure.

The spokesperson for the group, Abdulsalam Mohammed-Kazeem, who learn the textual content of a world press convention titled, ‘state of the nation: 2023 Presidency; although our tongue and languages may differ; in unity and brotherhood we stand,’ held on the Arewa Home, Kaduna on Wednesday, warned political events in opposition to fielding any northern candidate for the 2023 presidency.
