OSUN State Commissioner for Political Affairs and Intergovernmental Relations, Taiwo Akeju, has described a press release credited to the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Celebration within the July 16, 2022 ballot, Senator Ademola Adeleke, that the state governor, Adegboyega Oyetola, was afraid of contesting in opposition to him as “a joke of the century.”
Akeju, who insisted that individuals of the state are behind Oyetola to proceed in workplace, added that Adeleke couldn’t be governor because the incumbent has impacted positively on the lives of the residents.
“Adeleke’s assertion is a joke of the century. Oyetola is doing properly for the folks they usually need him to proceed. Adeleke can be defeated even in his Ede hometown,” Akeju stated.
Adeleke, who spoke on the PDP secretariat in Osogbo, shortly after he unveiled an ex-chairman of Osun East Native Authorities Space of Osun State, Kola Adewusi, as his working mate, stated the folks of the state have given Oyetola ‘a crimson card.’
Talking in Yoruba language, Adeleke stated, “Osun folks ought to come out and vote for me throughout the ballot. It’s clear Oyetola and his celebration are afraid of contesting in opposition to me.
“They shouldn’t be afraid but. They need to wait until election day. They may see the folks of the state have given Oyetola a crimson card. By the grace of God, I can be introduced because the winner of the competition.”
