The Tremendous Eagles of Nigeria have arrived in Ghana forward of their World Cup play-off first leg encounter on Friday.

The Nigeria contingent departed from the Nnamdi Azikiwe Worldwide Airport, Abuja aboard a chartered Air Peace plane on Thursday morning.

Nigeria tackle Ghana within the 20,000 –capability Cape Coast Sports activities Stadium from 7.30pm on Friday, March 25, with the reverse leg set for the Moshood Abiola Nationwide Stadium, Abuja on Tuesday, March 29, from 6pm.

The winner over two legs will earn considered one of Africa’s 5 tickets to the twenty second FIFA World Cup finals, scheduled for  November  14 to December  18 this 12 months in Qatar.

President of the Nigeria Soccer Federation and Member of the FIFA Council, Mr Amaju Melvin Pinnick, on Wednesday disclosed that the soccer–ruling physique would take the 2 matches between the Tremendous Eagles and the Black Stars of Ghana as “very severe enterprise,” insisting that every part authorized and acceptable is being achieved for Nigeria to realize victory.

At a gathering with some members of the NFF Govt Committee and Administration contained in the NFF Secretariat on Wednesday, Pinnick admitted that the World Cup playoff fixture is a ‘warfare’ and have to be approached with utmost dedication, focus and with zero tolerance for tardiness.

He stated, “In fact, we’re not those going into the sector. However the preparations we put in place will, to a big extent, decide the spirit with which the gamers will enter the pitch. All our preparations have to be flawless and with out sloppiness. It’s a FIFA World Cup ticket at stake, so we should give it our all.

“No matter efforts we have now been making to make sure seamless motion from side to side, in addition to lodging of our contingent at main matches, have to be doubled for the match in Kumasi. Nigerians don’t wish to hear any story; they solely wish to see the World Cup ticket.”
