The rescue operation followed a swift response from the soldiers after the victims were reportedly abducted while working on their farmlands. According to security sources, the troops trailed the bandits into a nearby forest where they launched a coordinated operation that led to the safe release of all captives.

A security analyst identified as Bakastine shared details of the incident on his X handle on Saturday, noting that the victims were rescued without any harm. He stated that the operation was still ongoing to ensure the full clearance of the area.

Residents of Tudun Wada and neighboring villages expressed relief over the development, commending the military for their timely intervention. They said the rescue brought hope to communities that had been living in fear due to repeated attacks and abductions by armed groups.

Security sources confirmed that troops have continued combing the forests and surrounding areas to track down other suspects and prevent future incidents in the region.

The operation is part of ongoing efforts to curb rural kidnappings and restore peace across Kebbi State.
